Cunningham Fall State Park, MD

We did another practice run and went camping at Cunningham Falls State Park in Thurmont, MD this past weekend. This was one of the nicest campsites we have ever visited. Nice large spacious sites that were far apart, and nice clean bathrooms with locking shower doors (always a nice thing!).

Check out our web album for more photos.

A bunch of Montessori families reserved sites together, and we all had a fantastic time. It was really nice going with others - the kids had friends to play with, and we had friends to play with. A bunch of us took a guided hike up the cliff trail to the falls - beautiful weather and lots of great information!

Our Adam and Adam F.B. stayed together the entire time, even having a "sleep-over" in the other Adam's tent. They loved it!

We took a nice hike up to the falls, and then spent some time at the sandy beach lake before chowing down at a potluck with other AMAC families. Had some great entertainment by day with a demonstration of mentos and diet coke (what an explosive combination) and then glow sticks and smores by night.

This was great prep for our upcoming cross-country trip, which will be here before we know it.
